A47 News FZ LLC ("A47 News", "we", "our", "us") is a news aggregation platform incorporated in the Dubai Media City Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy applies to all services operated by A47 News, including our website (a47.news), mobile applications, and newsletter services.

We collect two categories of information:

Information you provide to us:

• Account registration information (email address, display name)
• Payment information (processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store card details)
• Communications you send us (support requests, contact form submissions)
• Newsletter subscription email addresses

Information collected automatically:

• Log data (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps)
• Device information (operating system, screen resolution, language)
• Interaction data (stories viewed, topics followed, search queries entered)

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the A47 News platform
• Personalise your news feed and topic recommendations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or share it with advertising networks.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: Processing necessary to deliver the service you have subscribed to.
• Legitimate interests: Analytics, fraud prevention, and platform improvement, where these do not override your rights.
• Consent: Newsletter subscriptions and optional personalisation features.
• Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable UAE legislation.

We retain account data for as long as your account remains active, plus a further 90 days following account deletion to allow for recovery requests. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UAE financial regulations. Log data is retained for 12 months. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

A47 News uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform. We use three categories of cookies:

• Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how readers use the platform. Anonymised. Can be disabled via Cookie Settings.
• Preference cookies: Remember your settings (theme, followed topics). Can be disabled, though this will affect functionality.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookie preferences at any time via our Cookie Settings page.

We share data only with the following categories of third parties, and only as necessary:

• Payment processors: To complete subscription transactions. Your payment data is processed under their privacy policies.
• Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting and CDN services used to deliver the platform.
• Analytics providers: Anonymised, aggregated usage data only.
• Legal authorities: Where required by valid legal process under UAE law.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for newsletter subscriptions at any time
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Request a portable copy of your data

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest, and access controls that limit data access to authorised personnel only. We conduct regular security reviews and respond promptly to any identified vulnerabilities.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of A47 News after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
