Meghan Markle Confirmed as Special Guest for Junior MasterChef Australia 2027 Reboot
What happened
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will appear as a special guest alongside co-host Poh Ling Yeow for the 2027 season of *Junior MasterChef Australia* on Network 10.
The Context
* Format revival: Endemol Shine Australia and Network 10 are bringing back the junior culinary competition featuring contestants aged 9–13 for the first time since 2020. * Proven viewership draw: Markle previously appeared as a guest judge on *MasterChef Australia* in April 2026, delivering the franchise's strongest Sunday ratings performance in three years. * Production footprint: Filming will take place across a two- to three-week window in Melbourne scheduled around the conclusion of the flagship series production in May 2027.
The Number
Markle's April 2026 guest spot drove *MasterChef Australia* to its largest Sunday audience since 2023, offering commercial broadcasters tangible proof that premium global talent can still anchor appointment linear television.
