Friends Cast Members Attended Matthew Perry's 2023 Private Funeral Together as Revealed in Netflix Docuseries
What happened
A new Netflix documentary revealed that the five surviving *Friends* stars arrived together, linked hands, and wept beside Matthew Perry's casket at his private 2023 memorial.
The Context
* A unified arrival: In the third episode of *The One About Matthew Perry*, his sister Mia Perry Bowick recounted that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer entered the Forest Lawn service in Los Angeles as a single unit to embrace family. * Decades-long ties: Bowick noted she had not seen the ensemble in roughly 20 years, yet the co-stars stood encircling the casket in shared grief following Perry's October 2023 passing at age 54. * Documentary distance: The five surviving cast members declined participation in the 2026 Netflix project, choosing to let their collective public statements and private presence stand on their own terms.
The Number
— The count of surviving principal cast members who coordinated their arrival and mourning together, demonstrating the enduring cohesion of one of television's most commercially valuable ensembles.
