Dubai Police launches Horizon X initiative to innovate future policing

Dubai Police has officially launched the Horizon X initiative, aimed at exploring future opportunities in policing and enhancing institutional readiness. This program is designed to transform innovative ideas into practical projects that improve community safety and the overall effectiveness of the police force. The initiative is structured around five key pillars that support a proactive policing model.

Workshops will be conducted to encourage collaboration and identify future opportunities across all police sectors. This approach aims to convert emerging trends into high-value projects that align with the strategic priorities of the police force.

Horizon X is part of Dubai Police's broader commitment to innovation and future foresight. The initiative is led by Expert Brigadier Hamdan Al Ghassieh, who oversees the Future Foresight Centre responsible for the program's implementation. The timing of this initiative reflects a growing recognition of the need for agile and responsive policing in an ever-evolving societal landscape.

The five pillars of the Dubai Future Readiness Index are crucial for developing a proactive policing model that can effectively address emerging trends and community needs. By fostering a culture of foresight and collaboration, Horizon X aims to enhance the effectiveness and readiness of the police force.

As Horizon X progresses, it is expected to yield innovative policing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve public safety. Future workshops and collaborations within Dubai Police sectors will be critical in implementing projects derived from the initiative's ideas. The focus on innovation, feasibility, and alignment with strategic priorities will guide the assessment of proposals.

The initiative represents a significant step towards integrating future foresight into policing practices, potentially transforming community safety measures. Stakeholders should monitor the implementation of Horizon X closely, as it may set new standards for policing in the region.
