Dubai RTA completes 90% of Dubai Harbour access bridge project

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it has achieved a significant milestone by completing 90% of the 1,500-meter bridge project designed to improve access to Dubai Harbour. This infrastructure initiative aims to enhance connectivity between Sheikh Zayed Road and the harbour, which is a vital tourism destination in the emirate. The bridge will feature two lanes in each direction, accommodating up to 6,000 vehicles per hour.

Once the bridge is fully operational, travel time to Dubai Harbour will be reduced from 12 minutes to just 3 minutes. This substantial improvement in travel efficiency is expected to support the growth of the harbour as a premier waterfront destination. The project is part of RTA's broader strategy to enhance urban infrastructure and stimulate tourism growth in Dubai.

The Dubai Harbour access bridge project is a crucial infrastructure development that reflects the emirate's ongoing efforts to improve urban connectivity. Strategically located between Bluewaters Island and Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Harbour is set to become a significant hub for tourism, making this project essential for future growth.
