Dubai Humanitarian airlifts medical supplies to combat Ebola outbreak in DRC

Dubai Humanitarian has successfully coordinated an airlift of 20 metric tonnes of medical supplies to support the fight against a new strain of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This initiative, directed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to assist healthcare facilities and frontline workers in the affected regions. The airlift is designed to support hundreds of patients and approximately 280 healthcare facilities over the next four weeks.

The shipment includes essential items such as multipurpose tents, disinfectants, personal protective equipment, and thermometers. It departed from Al Maktoum International - Dubai World Central, marking a significant logistical effort to address the urgent needs of the healthcare system in the DRC.

The airlift was conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO), emphasizing the need for rapid action in health emergencies.
