Miami Dolphins Defeat New York Jets 28-25 at MetLife Stadium for First Win of 2026 Season
What happened
The Miami Dolphins held off a late New York Jets comeback to secure a 28-25 road victory at MetLife Stadium, capturing their first win of the 2026 NFL season.
The Context
* Halting the slide: Miami entered Week 7 at 0-5 following a bye week, using early offensive momentum to snap a five-game losing streak. * First-half conversion: The Dolphins scored touchdowns on three of their opening four drives, establishing a 21-7 margin before halftime behind Malik Willis and running back Ollie Gordon. * Division realignment: The result shifts Miami to 1-5 and drops the Jets to 2-5 under head coach Aaron Glenn after New York's 18-point second-half push fell short by 3 points.
The Number
— The final score that closed a five-week competitive deficit, proving that structured resets during scheduled operational pauses can deliver immediate performance turnarounds.
