Bengals Erase 13-0 Halftime Deficit with 35 Second-Half Points to Beat Ravens 35-13
What happened
The Cincinnati Bengals erased a 13-0 halftime deficit by scoring 35 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Baltimore Ravens 35-13 at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Context
- Halftime turnaround: After controlling the ball for only 7:40 in the first half, Cincinnati scored touchdowns on five consecutive possessions behind Joe Burrow, who completed 16 of 18 second-half passes for 249 yards and four touchdowns.
- Roster vulnerabilities: Playing without injured quarterback Lamar Jackson for the third consecutive week, Baltimore started Tyler Huntley and struggled to sustain offensive output after building an early 13-0 lead.
- Persistent late-game drop-offs: Baltimore has now been outscored 48-0 across their last two second halves, marking their second straight divisional loss after surrendering a double-digit lead for the second consecutive week.
The Number
— The unanswered points put up by Cincinnati after halftime, representing the highest second-half scoring output by an NFL team that was shut out in the first half since 2022.
Takeaway
Cincinnati moves to 4-2 with critical divisional momentum, while Baltimore must address systemic second-half collapses before Jackson's return to keep pace in the AFC North.
