Dubai Humanitarian conducts third airlift of aid to combat Ebola outbreak in DRC

Dubai Humanitarian has completed its third humanitarian airlift to support the response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This operation, directed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, involved the delivery of over 76 tonnes of essential supplies to aid affected communities. The airlift included hygiene kits, fortified biscuits, tents, and vehicles for safe burials, all crucial for combating the outbreak.

The airlift departed from Dubai and arrived in Entebbe, Uganda, on June 21, 2026, where the supplies are set for distribution. The total value of the humanitarian cargo was $223,150, with logistics costs estimated at $270,000. This initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to rapid humanitarian action during crises.
