Jordan Arrests Three Suspects in Karak Church Attack That Killed Nine

Jordanian security forces detained three suspects following a three-hour armed standoff in an abandoned house in Karak, concluding a 72-hour search operation after an attack killed nine people and wounded 40 others.

* Rapid operational closure: Specialized units from the Jordanian Public Security Directorate apprehended the suspects at dawn on October 26 without sustaining operational casualties, seizing firearms and ammunition. * Regional commercial response: Prominent regional figures, including Egyptian business executive Naguib Sawiris, publicly highlighted the swift resolution, reinforcing private-sector attention on Levant security frameworks. * No confirmed affiliation: Authorities have not linked the detained perpetrators to any formal entity, and no group has claimed operational responsibility for the incident.

Expect Jordanian security agencies to maintain elevated monitoring protocols while investigators finalize charges and determine whether cross-border supply chains or networks were involved.
