Fallon Sherrock Defeats Luke Littler in Netflix One-Leg Challenge Claiming £501000 Prize
What happened
Fallon Sherrock defeated two-time world champion Luke Littler in a high-stakes, one-leg 501 challenge on Netflix's live broadcast in Manchester, securing a £501,000 jackpot.
The Context
* The gauntlet setup: The live format pitted 19-year-old champion Luke Littler against 20 challengers in rapid succession, with Littler sweeping the first 14 opponents before facing Sherrock. * The decisive leg: Sherrock secured first throw via the bull-off, landed an opening 180, and closed out the match on double 20 within 15 darts while Littler sat back on 142. * The eligibility debate: Although known globally as the "Queen of the Palace" since her historic 2019 World Championship run, Sherrock qualified under the event's amateur designation because she does not hold an active PDC Tour card.
The Number
— The lump-sum prize claimed by Sherrock, marking the second-largest single payout in darts history, trailing only the £1 million winner's check at the PDC World Championship.
