Israeli Military Siege in Hebron Displaces 537 Palestinian Families Over Ten Days

Israeli forces concluded a ten-day military operation in Hebron that displaced 537 Palestinian families following an October 23 checkpoint attack that killed two Israeli soldiers.

• The operational footprint: Security forces closed municipal access points across neighborhoods including al-Jalda, Ein Deir Baha, and Farsh al-Hawa, deploying house-to-house searches and infrastructure demolitions.
• The localized fallout: Local relief groups registered roughly 3,300 displaced individuals among 5,000 affected residents, while school closures disrupted learning for 80,000 students.
• The commercial toll: Checkpoint shutdowns and movement restrictions forced 327 commercial establishments to shutter, with 15 facilities destroyed during the cordon.

As military units withdraw and displaced residents return, the focus shifts to infrastructure restoration and the resumption of cross-district transit.
